Two Towers Trust

The Two Towers Trust was launched in 1996. It is a charity and separate from the Parochial Church Council, although all its trustees are members of the church. It exists to raise funds for the restoration, repair, maintenance and improvement of St Clements and All Saints.

The trustees meet regularly to discuss ways and means of raising money and since its inception the Trust has raised thousands of pounds through many local events. These have included musical and choral concerts, coffee mornings, teas, quizzes, auctions and various events during Old Town Week.

A very successful annual event has been the hosting of a breakfast for the Morris Men and Women when they gather for their procession at the beginning of May.

When the Church Summer and Christmas fairs are held, the Trust always mans a stall and has been able thereby to raise a substantial sum twice a year through its presence. A recent innovation has been the Christmas Tree Festival which has attracted entries from many local individuals and organisations.

Donations are always very welcome and the Two Towers Trust has been fortunate to have been the beneficiary of several gifts in the wills of its supporters in recognition of its work in the parish.

Please contact Ken Bentall via the Contact Form or telephone 01424 721874 if you would like to support the work of the Trust and help ensure that our two magnificent churches remain for centuries to come.
