Maundy Thursday Eucharist with Foot-Washing
At his “Last Supper” with his disciples, Jesus washed their feet as a gesture of service and humility. We recollect this event with a service including the symbolic washing of feet and the sharing of Holy Communion. At the end of the service all the decorations are removed from the church to express the bleakness of the last hours before the crucifixion. There is time after the end of the service for quiet prayer and reflection.
