House Groups

House Groups provide the opportunity for participants to share their Christian faith through informal discussion, meeting in private houses or a local “pub”. Four groups meet regularly during Advent and Lent, with a choice of a Monday evening, Wednesday morning, Wednesday evening or Friday evening. One of these groups, the Wednesday morning group, also meets throughout the year and has done so for fourteen years. Groups continue to develop their own character, style and leadership. All groups can choose to follow a different study course, sometimes adapting courses to suit a group. The York courses are popular with our participants as they offer a well thought out structure, with a booklet and CD that can be used to complement each other and provide the basis for free ranging discussion. We have also used Diocesan short courses and produced our own material. At the heart of all our groups is the exploration of our faith by sharing ideas, experiences and above all friendship.

New members are always made most welcome!
